Outline: Crash Course in Grammar
Crash Course in Grammar will give participants the ability to:

•  use apostrophes correctly

•  punctuate their writing effectively

•  avoid common grammatical and spelling errors

•  structure sentences appropriately

•  proof-read to increase accuracy.

Outline: Advanced Grammar
This program will be suitable for people who have an interest in grammar beyond what they might use on a practical level each day. Great for people learning a second language. Participants will be able to:
•  use all forms of punctuation effectively

•  identify the major parts of speech

•  identify the different structural parts of a sentence,    including subjects, objects, clauses and phrases

•  break a sentence down into its basic components.

Outline: Plain Language
Participants will learn about:

•  the goal of plain language

•  some characteristics of plain language

•  common problems

•  the importance of structure

•  writing sensitively

•  tests they can apply to their writing.
The program includes rewriting exercises and case studies; participants also work on their own writing.
